Here are the stock cable lengths for the 500W front hub kit, so you can tell whether you'll need extensions before you install. (Long or stretched frames — trikes, recumbents — are the usual candidates for extensions.)

Stock cable lengths (500W front hub kit)

The front hub kit uses an external controller, so several runs combine a controller-side lead with a component lead to reach your cockpit and sensors. The ≈ total reach column spells out that math.

  • From the motor — Cable / run: Motor lead exiting the front hub (secured up the fork) · Stock length: ~8 in · Combined math: Hub lead reaches to the controller connection
  • At the controller — Cable / run: Hub-motor connection · Stock length: ~18 in

If anything comes up short on your frame, extension cables are available separately — measure during install and order what you actually need. Optional upgraded light connections are available for adding a Front LED headlight or taillight.

Note: the front hub kit uses an external controller (mounted in a frame bag or bottle-cage case), not the integrated controller found on mid-drives. Keep it ventilated and give every connector a downward drip loop.
