We have sold over 10,000 batteries with zero fires, and it is because we build only with premium LG, Panasonic, and Samsung 18650 cells โ€” and because our riders treat the pack with a little respect. Follow these and your battery will stay safe and healthy for years.

โœ… Do:

  • Charge and store on a hard, non-flammable surface with good airflow.
  • Keep the pack in a dry, room-temperature indoor spot, away from direct sun and heat sources.
  • Inspect the pack occasionally for damage โ€” cracked casing, swelling, corrosion, or heat at rest are all reasons to stop using it.
  • Keep the charge port cover on when not charging.
โš ๏ธ Don't:
  • Do not submerge or immerse the battery in water or any liquid, and keep it from getting soaked. It is water-resistant, not waterproof.
  • Do not expose it to high heat or open flame, and never leave it in a hot car.
  • Do not disassemble the pack or short-circuit the terminals.
  • Do not charge below freezing or use a charger that does not match your pack's voltage.
  • Do not keep using a pack that is swollen, physically damaged, or getting warm while just sitting โ€” retire it.
A quick word on why we are strict about this: lithium cells are extremely safe when treated correctly, and problems almost always trace back to physical damage, water intrusion, the wrong charger, or a bargain-bin cell. We control the last one for you by using only name-brand cells. You control the rest with the habits above.

If you ever have a battery you are unsure about, contact us before charging or riding it โ€” we would much rather answer a question than see a pack pushed past its safe life.
